Do you want to have an impact too?

Do you want to witness more easily and effectively?

Do you long to hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

I know that you want to have a positive effect on our world. But sometimes it's hard to express our heart to people about God. Ditto. Same for me.

I find it a little easier to talk to people I know. But even then, starting a conversation is usually the hardest part. Especially if it's something personal or really important to me. Either my tongue gets in a knot - or I say too much. I know that God is always true. I really don't want to say something that would be wrong about Him or what He does.

My enthusiasm and nervousness make it seem like I'm stomping on the brake and the gas at the same time.

Although I'm sincere and passionate, I'm also worried I may come off looking like a nut. I just don't want to ruin God's credibility.

So I thought, "What would make people notice, consider, or possibly make a comment about God?" An icebreaker! Something a little different?

God Believes in YOU!

It's a simple statement. But it's powerful because it's true - GOD BELIEVES IN YOU!

But what to do with that statement? Where could it be placed that people would see it? How could it be stuck to all sorts of surfaces? What about a magnet?

Great idea! I put the statement on a magnet so that it can be placed on your:

• refrigerator,
• car,
• mailbox,
• wheelbarrow,
• plate in your head (pardon my enthusiasm!), and
• anything metal.

Let me explain more... Actions prove what you believe in. Sitting in a garage can no more make me into a car than sitting in a church can make me a child of faith.

So saying you love God, saying you love your fellow man ... if you don't do anything about it, then were's the love? Loves motivates us to respond - with love.

We're not doing it because God's going to smack us upside the head for doing something wrong. We're not trying to appease Him. We're doing it because He first loved us.

Listen to this. This is important. We can't - or shouldn't - trust God, or anyone else, if we don't know that they care about us. You've got to KNOW God loves YOU. Get it out of your think-er - and into your know-er.

And once you get it into your know-er, then you can get it into your do-er.

If you act in faith, then God will reward you. Start taking small steps of faith by doing and saying what God teaches us to do in His word. Be encouraged. You've heard the preacher say, "God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 God also says, "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you."

When you place a magnet on your car, you'll be a light for God on the way to work. Your magnet might talk to people all day long in the parking lot. And on your way home, and in your driveway, for all the world to see.

Let your light shine before men. Matthew 5:16

God doesn't just want us to enter into his family, the kingdom of God. He wants us to operate by faith using all the resources of the kingdom of God that He's given us. He's done His part. Now He says, "You say, you go, and I'll be with you."

Show people that what God's done for others, He'll do for you.

Talk about easy evangelism!

A local taxi-cab driver, Charlie, had a magnet on his van. The customer went to wave him on - she didn't want his service. Until she saw the magnet. Then she stopped him. She said she felt safe knowing he believed in God. And during the ride Charlie got to talk about God to the woman!

It worked for my Catholic friend, Eric too. He took his car through the car wash - and forgot to take the sticker off the outside of his car before he went through. After he went through all the sprays, brushes and dryer, the attendant ran up to him with the magnet in his hand. As the attendant gave it back to Eric, he looked down at it. "Thanks!" he said. And Eric had another easy opportunity to witness.

My Wesleyan friend, Dave, stopped at a truck stop. "I like your sticker!" boomed out a local truck driver. Dave felt good because he knew the magnet had brightened up someone's day.
